Thanks to your incredible support and encouragement, our\u00a0<\/span>Youth Leadership Camp<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>was a meaningful and successful experience!<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t easy\u2014students committed to attending the camp\u00a0last weekend for two days, three hours each<\/strong>\u2014but they all showed up and actively participated, and we\u2019re so grateful for that.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83d\udcac\u00a0<\/span>On the first day,<\/strong>\u00a0we began with honest stories shared by college mentors\u2014opening up about their mental health journeys. This created a safe space for the students to look inward, recognize their emotions, revisit past wounds, and learn how to care for themselves with compassion.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83e\udd1d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>In small group sessions,<\/strong>\u00a0we shared personal stories, explored different self-care methods, and reflected on who has supported us in difficult times. We also talked about what it means to have a mentor, and how to reach out for support when it\u2019s needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83e\udde0\u00a0<\/span>On the second day,<\/strong>we dove into the topic of relationships. We discussed how to navigate conflicts\u2014with family, friends, and even romantic interests. We explored ways to set healthy boundaries while protecting our own well-being, and how to truly listen with empathy when someone opens up to us. The students listened intently as the college mentors shared real-life conflict resolution experiences\u2014and once they started opening up, the conversations grew deeper and more heartfelt.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfa5 As the camp wrapped up, students shared reflections and even sent in video messages of gratitude.<\/strong><\/p>\n
